Allscripts (now Veradigm) offers FHIR APIs through the Veradigm Connect platform. We focus on event-driven updates for medication and problem list changes.

Key Workflows

• Subscribe to patient updates; webhooks notify Profound Health when data changes.
• Query encounter details during BHCM case prep.
• Attach PDF summaries or CCDs to the patient chart post case review.

Setup Requirements

1. Partner enables our app in Veradigm Connect and shares API credentials securely.
2. Profound Health registers webhook URLs and verifies signatures using the supplied secret.
3. We perform a sandbox validation using synthetic patients before production cutover.

Gotchas

• Veradigm rate limits apply per application per practice; batch requests thoughtfully.
• Some tenants require explicit approval for document uploads-confirm contract language before enabling write-back.
• Event order is not guaranteed; we deduplicate based on resource IDs and version stamps.
