DrChrono

drchrono exposes REST APIs that we wrap in deterministic sync workers. Smaller practices often use drchrono, making automation especially valuable.

Supported Features

• Import active patient rosters, appointments, and clinical notes.
• Push finalized CoCM encounter summaries as PDF attachments.
• Sync insurance details to fuel billing eligibility checks.

Implementation Highlights

• Authentication uses OAuth 2.0; refresh tokens rotate every 24 hours with webhook notifications.
• The API surface is less consistent than enterprise EHRs-expect occasional fields to be null or missing. Our mappers default missing values gracefully.
• drchrono imposes per-minute and daily call quotas; workers throttle automatically and surface quota usage in dashboards.

Limitations

• No native SMART on FHIR support; in-EHR launch is not available.
• Document uploads are limited to 10 MB; larger exports are stored in Supabase and linked to drchrono manually.
